Event Details

Athlete and Workforce Registration

From 18:00-21:00 on Friday 10th September

From 07:00-07:45 on Saturday 11th September

We strongly encourage athletes and workforce to register on Friday 10th where possible to avoid the rush on Saturday 11th. During registration you will need to have the following:

CrossFit Southampton’s box is located on the Barton Park Industrial Estate, just behind Eastleigh Railway Station. It is tucked away in the far corner of the industrial estate so it may be helpful to use the map below.

WOD 1 will be held on the first pitch at The Hub, Eastleigh. A short 5 min walk from CrossFit Southampton. The walk route from CrossFit Southampton is detailed in the above map. It is an extremely busy road, with many HGVs. Please use traffic lights in front of The Hog Shack Cafe.

Travel

Southampton Airport is 2.6 miles, an 8-minute drive, from CrossFit Southampton. Head south-east towards Mitchell Way and exit roundabout onto Wide Lane. Head north on Southampton Road/A335 towards Leigh Road, turn right onto Bishopstoke Road/B3037, turn right at roundabout onto to Chicken Hall Lane and continue to destination. Eastleigh Station is 0.8 miles, a 4-minute drive or 13-minute walk, from CrossFit Southampton. Head north on Southampton Road/A335 towards Leigh Road, turn right onto Bishopstoke Road/B3037, turn right at roundabout onto to Chicken Hall Lane and continue to destination. Traveling North/Southbound on the M3, exit at junction 12 and take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Twyford Road/A335. Continue to roundabout and take second exit onto Bishopstoke Road/B3037, turn right at roundabout onto to Chicken Hall Lane and continue to destination. Link for detailed directions.

Parking

Please try not to bring a car on the day as we are limited to parking spaces. If you do need to drive, try to car share where possible. There is a small car park on site, alternatively there are two paid parking options available nearby, The Hub or in Eastleigh centre.

COVID-19 Protocols

For any athlete, spectator, workforce attending the event, it will be YOUR responsibility to take a LATERAL FLOW TEST within 48 hours prior to arriving at the facility.

At registration, you will need to provide evidence of a negative test result upon entry to the facility on each day. This is the screen you will need to have ready on your phone to show us at the registration desk

Warm Up Area

Athletes will be allowed into the specific warm up area 2-4 heats before theirs is due to start (depending on length of workout). There will be a generic warm up/cool down area to use at any time of day. All equipment must be wiped down with the cloths provided after use.

Athlete Control

Athletes will be required to check in at Athlete Control exactly 15 minutes before their heat starts. After checking in, you must stay in the athlete control area. If you do not check in on time or miss your heat, you will not be permitted to compete and will score zero for that workout.

Scoring & Leaderboards

Scoring will be updated regularly throughout the duration of the competition. Athletes will score points based on placement within each workout, with highest points wins. This is based on a 100pt system and best used for divisions that have less than 65 competitors. To view the default point spread click: SCORING

At the close of Day 1 we will re-seed lane assignments for Day 2, based on placements after Day 1. These will be ‘swimlane’ style lane assignments, with leading athletes in middle lanes.
